In 2011 with the help of 40 distributors Vadodara Distributors Association, Vadodara was established and today the Association’s membership stood at 280+ members. This gave rise to bring a number of distributors under one roof. Being distributors, VDA was facing numerous challenges. There was an urgent need to set up a body to collectively represent the interests of these Stockiest and budding entrepreneurs before the various authorities. As the saying goes “Unity is Strength”.

To represent Association at various stages need to be registered with Government Body, in 2017 it was decided to register with Government authority dated 25-4-2018 registered as “F.M.C.G. Distributor Association”, Vadodara by Reg. No. GJ/3663/Vadodara and F/3349/Vadodara. As the Association become more and more popular among traditional trade and modern trade, other market in and around the city also started taking keen interest in the activities, and it was again necessary to bring in some changes.

Low key operations, emphasis on problem solving at the micro level, knowledge sharing programs, as well as at macro level prevention of infiltration and smooth functioning of business continues to be the PRIME Motto of VDA. Collective representations necessitated meeting of members, avoiding unwanted competition, developing mutual relations for business and social aims. More entrepreneurs were interested in joining and the membership has since grown at a steady pace.
